With a new week comes new market opportunities. Here’s a recap of what you may have missed, as well as some highlights of the week ahead of us:

Catching you up on last week:

•Eurozone leaders met to discuss the allocation of the €750 billion stimulus package, finally coming to a consensus and sending the Euro soaring 💶

•Gold and silver both experienced technical breakouts on the back of investors searching for safe places to park their money. 💰 US bond yields continue to decline and gold is the biggest beneficiary of flows.

•Tesla’s Q2 financials, posted after Wednesday’s close, have qualified it for inclusion into the S&P500 🚗 shares have since tumbled ~14% from Tuesday’s highs.

This week, keep an eye on:

•FOMC is the big-ticket item on this week’s calendar, with the Fed set to leave its policy unchanged. They may, however, show some openness to controlling the yield curve.

•US-China tensions are still simmering away just under the surface with trade tit-for-tat retaliations set to keep a damper on the market’s risk appetite. Watch for Tik-Tok stories to drive the mainstream conversation, but the real trade undercurrents are what matters.

•Tech giants Google, Amazon, Apple and Facebook are among the companies set to post earnings this week. Which are you following?
